Topping the list are Shōgun, The Bear, and Fallout—three standout series that captivated audiences with their compelling stories, rich characters, and unforgettable moments.

From historical drama to culinary chaos and post-apocalyptic adventures, this year’s top picks reflect the diverse tastes of Canadian viewers.

1. Shōgun - Available to stream on Disney Plus

English sailor John Blackthorne is the first Englishman in Japan after a shipwreck near the Izu Peninsula. In a power-driven society aspiring for the role of Shōgun (the leader of Japan), Blackthorne joins Lord Toronaga's household, witnessing palace intrigue. Here, he encounters Lady Mariko, a conflicted female samurai who must battle outside forces to prove her loyalty.

A young chef from the fine dining world comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop after a heartbreaking death in his family.
