Get ready, thrill-seekers! Canada’s Wonderland is gearing up to unveil its most exhilarating ride yet—AlpenFury.

Set to debut in 2025, this dual-launch roller coaster is poised to be the longest, tallest, and fastest launch roller coaster in Canada, promising an adrenaline-packed experience like no other.

AlpenFury will reach top speeds of 115 km/h, propelling riders vertically out of Wonder Mountain’s summit, soaring 50 metres (164 feet) into the sky before diving through a series of nine breathtaking inversions—the most of any launch coaster in North America. With a drop of 47 metres (154 feet) and a track stretching over 1,000 metres, this ride is designed to test the limits of even the most daring coaster enthusiasts.

The ride begins with a thrilling double launch—first, sending you deep into the heart of Wonder Mountain, and then blasting you out of its peak. As you race through the track, you’ll encounter three unique elements that are sure to leave you breathless. The Fire Serpent Roll twists and inverts riders through weightlessness and two near-miss interactions, while the Skyflyer Loop features an ascending helix that crests into a zero-G stall before plunging into an inverting, descending roll. The Ice Winder Roll will have you twisting and untwisting through two inversions as you ascend and descend through an overbanked hill.

AlpenFury is designed to hold 18 passengers per ride, with each thrilling journey lasting about 1 minute and 20 seconds. As the newest addition to Canada’s Wonderland, AlpenFury is set to redefine the theme park’s already impressive lineup of roller coasters.

While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, AlpenFury is expected to make its debut in 2025 at the Vaughan, Ontario, park.
